From the Chair

Hi everyone and welcome to the Moat ground,
A very warm welcome to our visitors from Colwyn Bay today, in this the last UniBond League fixture at home this season. I hope you have an enjoyable afternoon with us and your journey home is trouble free.

I went up to watch the lads at Sheffield FC last Saturday what a pitch! I thought the lads did a great job, yes I know we didn't win but they never gave up and that's what we want, passion on the pitch. It was nice to see the good away support, very vocal especially when we went a goal down.

Since taking over I have had a meeting with Gary and the players to let them know about where we stand as a club and just be open and honest with them so that we can start to work towards putting things right.

Also I had the privilege of being invited along to the Supporters Club meeting along with the Vice-Chairman, Barry North and Gary Norton. It was, I have to say fantastic to see such devotion and passion, I wish you all the best for the future with this venture, it is an important roll within the club and we all look forward to working with you.

Good luck to the Supporters Club today as it's their launch day, I know they have put a lot of hard work in and I am sure it will add to the atmosphere of the ground.
As I have said on our web site we are here to put this club back on track and to stop the rot. It is fair to say that there is a lot of work to do here and it will take some time to achieve, just to get back to square one, but please be patient and we will keep you informed when and as we can.

On behalf of the new board can I say a big thank you to all the volunteers at Gresley, you know who you are, you are the backbone of this club and without you we would be in big trouble.
Thanks also to the supporters of this club we hope to see you here more, let's finish the season off in style and get behind the team starting today!

This is where it starts, this is where we pull together, have a great afternoon let's hear you from start to finish, let's get some pride back at The Moat. Good luck to Gary and the boys!
