South Derbyshire’s FA Vase heroes, Gresley Rovers, face either Raunds Town – who they beat en route to the twin towers – or Walsall Wood in the FA Cup.
Manager Frank Northwood said: “I have never even given the FA Cup a thought and while I would have liked a home draw, of the two Walsall Wood would suit us better.
“As it happens we’re playing Raunds in a friendly on August 10th and so at least we can find out where their ground is,” he quipped.
“The FA Cup is not the competition I’m hoping to go to Wembley in. We would like to reach the first round, that’s our equivalent of winning it.”
Gresley’s final-making run in last year’s Vase has brought them exemption to the second round proper, along with victors Guiseley and Rovers’ scalps from earlier rounds Harwich and Parkeston, Knowsley and Littlehampton.
