Martin misses ‘derby’ clash - Burton Mail

13th August 1991
Neighbours Stapenhill visit the Moat Ground tonight (7.30pm) as Gresley Rovers wind up their pre-season efforts ready for the defence of their West Midlands League title on Saturday.

Rovers’ defender Martin Dick is still out of action after needing stitches in a head injury picked up against Leek last week and striker Paul Acklam is another absentee on holiday.

With Bob Sykes on holiday, assistant manager John Waye takes charge of the Swans’ team tonight.

Stapenhill have named a 16-man squad from which they expect to pick their team for Saturday’s opening Influence Combination fixture.
