Gresley Rovers unveiled their new-look strip for the 1992-1993 season last night – and announced a new sponsorship deal.

Development officer Frank McArdle revealed that Rovers would now have two major sponsors.

“Bass has continued its long association with the club as this season’s ground sponsor, but now, in addition, Hepworth Building Products, a multi-national company with strong local connections, has become shirt sponsor.”

Giving an official stamp of approval to the deal last night was Hepworth’s Swadlincote works manager Bill Parker – himself a former Gresley player.

McArdle declined to reveal the mount of cash involved in the deal but said: “It’s a major deal consistent with our new status in non-league football.”
