Gresley Rovers have a special desire to complete an FA Cup conquest in the Potteries tomorrow.

The Moatmen travel to Newcastle Town anxious to avenge last season’s FA Vase defeat at the same ground.

Manager Steve Dolby said last night : That result was one of the biggest disappointments in the last couple of seasons and we certainly want to put the record straight.

“The fact we also played them in a pre-season game also adds a bit of spice, though I wouldn’t read too much into the result of that game.”

Dolby awaits a fitness test on defender Stuart Evans before settling on his side.
