Chris Gray update

15th July 2003
After talks last night between caretaker manager Garry Norton, Alan Titterton Chairman Mark Evans and Chris Gray Gresley Rovers are hopeful that Gray will be persuaded to stay at the club.

Evans said: "Coalville Town have made Chris an exceptional offer which we cannot match within the present salary budget and he is also being pursued by other clubs. But we have been able to address his concerns in terms of the way we want to take this club forward and we are very close to doing a deal with him."

The management of the club have also had talks they hope will keep both midfielder Craig Hopkins and defender Ian Bluck at Gresley.
