Gresley Rovers have signed central defender John Williamson.

John joined Burnley straight from school and then signed pro-forms and remained with the club for three years until a foot injury cut short his career and he left at the end of season 2001-2002.

He had an operation on his left foot, which saw him out of football for 12 months, but he is now beginning to get back into training and is hoping to get a place in the Rovers first team.
