Andy Cheetham

Defender Andy Cheetham has re-signed for Gresley Rovers.

Despite approaches from higher league clubs and the promise of better wages, Andy has decided to commit himself to Gresley.

Andy will be retaining the captain's arm band for the new season.

Chairman Mark Evans and manager Gary Norton are both delighted to have secured his signature.

Evans said tonight: "This demonstrates his loyalty to the club and the type of person he his. He has the respect of all his fellow players and we are delighted that he has chosen to stay with Gresley Rovers."
