Midfielder Craig Hopkins was released by “mutual consent” last night following a meeting with manager Gary Norton.

Norton said today: “I had a word with Craig last night and we decided by mutual consent that he should leave the club.

“I would like to thank Craig for all he’s done for the club and we wish him well for the future.”

Hopkins, the former Kettering, Ilkeston and Kings Lynn midfielder was signed in August 2002 and featured in 26 league and cup games scoring 3 goals.
