Operation for Ian Bluck

12th September 2003

Ian Bluck who was carried off the pitch during the FA Cup draw with Buxton will need an operation to repair a damaged cartilage in his left knee.

He suffered a similar injury to his right knee at the end of last season and it is very likely that he will miss most of this season.

Manager Gary Norton said: “It’s a nasty injury which is getting worse every day. Ian paid for the operation on his right knee himself and now needs to find another £2000.

“The chairman is looking to set up some sort of fund so that the club and supporters can help raise the money needed.”
