Gary Norton

Gresley Rovers manager Gary Norton has won the Dr Martens Western Division Manager-of-the-Month award for September.

Three wins, a draw and a goal difference of six from four games was enough for Gary to win the award.

Congratulations Gary!

Gary told Gresley Rovers Online:

"What a difference a month can make....

"I'm surprised, absolutely delighted and immensely proud to win the Manager of the Month award for September.

"That said it must be dedicated to the efforts of Alan, Steve, Jodie and the players for the hard work and effort that they have put in to turn our poor start to the season around.

"However, we still have a hell of a lot of hard work ahead of us to get us further up the table where we belong.

"Whilst its fantastic to be recognised in this way, its the future results and not past ones that my players, staff and I are more interested in and we must concentrate all our efforts to ensure that we continue to erase the memory of our terrible start to the season.

"I suppose the award has put the curse on our run now but we will have to try extra hard to ensure it hasn't!!"
