David Titterton, manager of Dr Martens League Western Division club Stourport Swifts, has finally succeeded in completing the signing of midfielder Richard Kavanagh.
The ex-Studley central midfielder has finally signed after sorting out his release from league rivals Halesowen Town and is set for his debut this weekend when Swifts entertain strugglers Shepshed Dynamo.
Kavanagh joined the Yeltz in the summer after impressing whilst playing against them for Midland Alliance side Studley. Formerly with Paget Rangers and Stratford Town, this will not be Kavanagh's first taste of Dr Martens football, however, as he had a previous spell with neighbours Bromsgrove Rovers.
Titterton, who is keen to address his team's slide down the table, said: "Kavanagh's a ball player. It will give us competition in midfield and now it's about finding the right blend. We have to get some results and that starts on Saturday."
