24th April 2005
At the meeting held on the 24th April, the UniBond League Board of Directors found Spennymoor United guilty of failing to fulfil the fixtures at Marine (9th Apr), v Prescot Cables (12th Apr), at Leek Town (14th Apr) and at Prescot Cables (16th Apr).
A fine of £1000 plus the reduction of 3 points was imposed for each one of the four games. In addition Spennymoor United are required to re-imburse £131 expenses incurred by Marine.
After a lengthy debate on the complex issue of Spennymoor United's record in view of the nine unplayed games, it was decided that their record would be expunged.
The UniBond Premier League table has been revised and will posted on the official website on Monday.
A decision on further action, which was agreed regarding Spenymoor United, will be released once the Club have been notified.
