FA Cup & FA Trophy draw

1st July 2005
The FA Cup draw has given Gresley Rovers a trip into Cheshire for the Preliminary Round were they will meet Nantwich Town on 27th August who finished last season 16th in the North West Counties Division One.

Should the Moatmen get through to the next round they will again be on their travels when their opponents on 10th September will be the winners of the Holbeach v Boldmere St Michael's game.

Gresley last played Holbeach away in a 1st Qualifying Round on September 13th 1997, which they won 6-3. The scorers were Andy Simpson 2, Steve Powell, Ian Pitt, Darren Turner and Paul Grant.

The FA Trophy has provided a mouth-watering tie with Ilkeston Town visiting the Moat Ground for the 1st Qualifying Round and the winners of the Mossley v Shepshed Dynamo awaiting the victors.
