Midland Classic of Church Gresley launches a new passenger bus service on Monday June 5th, the No 21 from Swadlincote to Burton on Trent via the Gresleys.

A weekly ticket will be available known as "The Gresley Rover", priced at £9.00 for adults, £6.00 under 16s and passes accepted for disabled, OAPs and Gold Card holders. A percentage of these ticket sales will be donated to Gresley Rovers FC forming a new business partnership.

John Mason director of Midland Classic Ltd is very excited about this new venture, as it will not only reduce journey times from Gresley to Burton on Trent to 26 minutes, but also provide a service to the Mead Walk estate, Stanton, which has not had a service for 7 years, the route also follows Alexander Road direct to the Kwik Save Supermarket. An off peak service to The Queens Hospital will also be provided.

Having lived in Gresley all his life, John is now pleased to be involved with Gresley Rovers as a business partner and is looking forward to the future.

Mark Evans Chairman of Gresley Rovers is delighted with this new partnership and hopes it will encourage supporters to travel to The Moat Ground and support the team.

On hearing this news Elvis Gresley had to check out this new form of transport himself, and has already bought his ticket for the special journey on Sat 3rd and looks forward to meeting you all on the No 21 leaving Swadlincote bus park at 11am.
