| Tony Hemmings |
Tony Hemmings has been appointed as player-coach at the Moat Ground.
Hemmings, whilst still on the playing staff, will take over some of the coaching duties previously carried out by Rafaele Long who has had to scale down his involvement at club due to work commitments and his work at Derby County ladies academy.
Manager Gary Norton said: "Myself and Mick Curry recognised in Tony something we wanted to tap into. We met with him this week and offered him the position and I'm delighted he accepted.
"He is vastly experienced at professional and non-league levels and we wanted to harness his skills. Tony is always full of chat and advice at training sessions and seeing that he is coming towards the end of his playing career, we felt it would be a waste if he weren't utilised in some way.
"Tony has looked good in pre-season training but whether he's on the pitch, on the bench or in the dressing room he has got a lot to offer us this season."
