Fleetwood pre-match news

11th August 2006
Manager Gary Norton could have his plans for the final pre-season friendly at Fleetwood Town tomorrow disrupted with as many as eight players missing the trip.

Goalkeeper Tommy Whittle and midfielder Carl Slater will definitely miss the game as they are both attending weddings, left-back Gary White has work commitments and midfielder David Holmes is still away on holiday.

Striker Aaron O'Connor should also be attending a wedding, but is trying to make the trip up to Fleetwood.

Defenders Colin Hoyle, Andy Spencer and Andy Simpson could be missing through injury. Simpson did not train last night because of a calf strain while Hoyle and Spencer were unable to complete the full session due to minor knocks.

Norton had been hoping to field the starting line-up who will take on Brigg Town at the Moat Ground a week tomorrow in their first UniBond Division One game of the new season.
