Injury Woe!

6th April 2000
Rovers player-assistant manager Steve Spooner suffered a broken arm in the 3-0 Derbyshire Senior Cup final second leg at Ilkeston on Monday night.

Today (Tues) Steve is expected to undergo surgery at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary. Brian Kenning said that it was likely a plate would be inserted in Spooner's arm with the injury ruling out the player for the remainder of the season.

Rovers now face a selection headache for Saturday's trip to Stourbridge with Spooner and Warren likely to join skipper Richard Wardle on the injury list with strikers Neil Kitching and Dave King both ruled out for the rest of the season.
