First Division leaders Buxton gained quick revenge for last week's defeat by Skelmersdale United when they travelled to Lancashire for the return and left with all three points courtesy of a penalty.
With Eastwood Town rained off Stocksbridge PS moved ahead of them in to second with an emphatic 6-2 win over Shepshed Dynamo whilst Cammell Laird joined Eastwood in third after beating other play-off hopefuls Bradford Park Avenue. With Goole AFC's six match winning sequence being ended with a home defeat at the hands of Kidsgrove Athletic, Welsh side Colwyn Bay maintained their final play-off place with a 3-1 success at Clitheroe. After five straight defeats Alsager Town turned things round in some style putting five past Chorley without reply and another team to find the road to goal no problem were Gresley Rovers who were scoring four for the second week in succession when beating Belper Town. Both the other games to survive the weather at Brigg Town and Ossett Albion finished all square at 1-1 with the visitors being Woodley Sports and Wakefield respectively.
