Both play-off Finals saw the second and third placed clubs in the respective Divisions play one another with the ground advantage that goes with those finishing places having been decisive in the semi-finals as the results below show.
However, that was not repeated in the two Finals with the Premier Division affair at Witton Albion a sell out. AFC Telford United got off to a flyer in the first minute before going on to win promotion with a 3-1 victory whilst at Cammell Laird it was story of the two 'keepers with Eastwood Town's Ian Deakin crucial in keeping his side in contention whilst Laird's Craig Bryan was completely deceived by a 35 yarder from Chris Shaw as the "Badgers" came back from a goal down to win.
UniBond Monthly Awards
The final UniBond "Club of the Month" awards have gone to Burscough and Buxton - the two respective champions both of whom were winning the award for the second time during the campaign with Burscough having lifted it in October and Buxton in August.
Both clubs were unbeaten in seven games during April winning five of them. Guiseley and Gresley Rovers took the April "Fair Play" awards with the Yorkshire club's success merely cementing their place at the head of the season's table and pocketing the top tier's £1,000 first prize for the second season in succession and a third top four finish on the bounce - a terrific achievement.
Prescot Cables took the £750 runners-up award - the second consecutive season they had finished in the top four, Witton Albion bagged £500 for third and Matlock Town £250 in fourth.
Kidsgrove Athletic were runaway winners of the First Division award whilst newcomers Harrogate Railway and Alsager Town filled the next two positions.
Gresley Rover's excellent April of just one caution in seven games saw them share fourth spot with Shepshed Dynamo who finished in the top four for the second campaign in succession.
