John McGinlay was hoping to reveal a new striker for Saturday's match against Stourport Swifts.
He was due to have talks on Thursday but the meeting was cancelled and has been rescheduled for Friday.
McGinlay has a few injury worries with skipper Stuart Evans (hamstring) and Alex Green (back) doubtful for tomorrow’s game.
Richard Wardle will be sidelined for a month having picked up a broken nose at Bloxwich last week.
Kevin Allsop could start after making the most of his chance by scoring the two goals in the 2 – 0 defeat of Bloxwich United in the F A Cup preliminary round.
McGinlay is hoping for a result tomorrow to carry on where they left off last week and give the team the confidence they need to face the tough week ahead.
Rovers play Bloxwich United at home in a league match on Wednesday and again at home to Redditch United in the F A Cup next Saturday.
David Shaw has gone on a month's loan to Congleton to improve his match fitness.
