Striker Karl Payne, who returned from a surprise holiday at the weekend, looks set to feature in tonight's game at the Moat Ground against near rivals Shepshed Dynamo in what is the first of three encounters this season.
Rovers found difficulty in capitalising on the chances created against Retford on Saturday and Payne's return couldn't have come at a better time for manager Gary Norton.
Liam Shirley, who has impressed during pre-season, also looks set to join the squad after recovering from a knock received during the last friendly against the reserves. A fitness test before tonight's game will decide if he's recovered enough to take part.
Chris Mawbey is another player with a chance of making the squad as is loan player Luke Edwards could also make his Rovers debut providing Tamworth release him to play.
Gresley from: Clarke, Allan, Douglas, Barradell, Hood, Rowntree, Groves, Carter, Ridgway, Sleath, Kelly, Wayte, Thornely, Brown, Farmer, Payne, L Edwards, Mawbey, Shirley
