Stocksbridge Pre-match News

21st September 2007
Gresley Rovers manager Gary Norton will be relieved that the injury problems that has disrupted his plans so far this season are starting ease.

Midfielder Carl Slater, who has completed a full game for the reserves, came on as a second half substitute against Warrington and is in the squad to face Stocksbridge.

Striker Paul Edwards will possibly have a run out with the reserves as he recovers from an elbow injury.

However, midfielder Tom Betteridge will be missing for another two to three weeks after suffering a reaction to his last game. Betteridge has been told to rest because of swelling in the leg he broke and dislocated the ankle.

Morgan Hurley is still suffering from tight hamstrings and Norton will check his fitness before making a decision to include him.

New signing Stefan Marshall is also included in the squad.

Gresley from: Clarke, Douglas, Mawbey, Hood, Chamberlain, Carter, Ridgway, Hancock, Blenkinsopp, Barradell, Slater, Payne, Rowntree, Sleath, Wayte, Marshall, Hurley.
