Guiseley Pre-match News

20th October 2007
Defender Dan Douglas is a major doubt due to an ankle injury picked up last weekend against Spalding Utd.

Tom Groves, who impressed at right back, could replace Douglas.

Jamie Hood and keeper David Clarke should be okay to play but striker David Blenkinsopp is a slight doubt due to a hamstring problem.

Defender Martyn Rowntree will possibly partner Jamie Hood as Miles Chamberlain's loan spell from Eastwood has ended although his club would not have wanted him cup-tied.

Tom Betteridge has resumed training and loan midfielder Oliver Hancock who has been out due to a dislocated elbow, turned out for Burton Albion reserves in midweek but is unlikely to feature for Rovers tomorrow..

However, the news is not so good for Andy Simpson who broke down during training on Thursday as his groin problem refuses to go away.

Gresley from: Clarke, Groves, Mawbey, Hood, Rowntree, Slater, Ridgway, Carter, Blenkinsopp, Marshall, Sleath, Edwards, Hanson, Douglas, Hurley, Barradell, Thorley.
