New boys’ duty call - Burton Mail

9th April 1986
Gresley Rovers manager Frank Northwood has been forced to make two changes for tonight’s West Midlands League match against Oldswinsford (6.15pm).

And that means debuts for recently signed defender Dave Butler and on-loan striker John Branch.

Butler, substitute in Rovers’ last three games but still to kick a ball for them, takes over at full back from Ian Earley, who is unavailable.

Also out of the Gresley line-up is skipper Dave King, who injured a shoulder in an accident at work yesterday and could also miss Saturday’s home game against Brereton Social.

A third new signing, striker Nigel Barrow’s is likely to be named as substitute.
