Rovers miss key men - Burton Mail

7th April 1987
Gresley Rovers tonight bid for their first ever Banks’s League Cup Final appearance without the services of two key defenders.

Former Burton Albion full back John Bottomley, unavailable through college commitments, and cup-tied Nick Sales are out of the squad as Rovers aim to take full advantage of a 2-1 first leg lead over Oldbury (7.30pm).

Heavy rain has made the game doubtful and a 4pm pitch inspection is planned.
