Gresley take a break - Burton Mail

6th October 1987
Gresley Rovers take a break from their pursuit of Banks’s League honours when they entertain Derby Prims in the Derbyshire Senior Cup tonight (7.30).

But manager Frank Northwood has resisted the temptation to rest any of his in-form first teamers for a competition in which Gresley’s record is notable only for its lack of success in modern times.

Northwood names a strong 14-man squad that is strengthened by the return of striker Paul Acklam after a two-week holiday.

Young striker Colin Hill is also included but injury rules out talented full back Martin Dick, with the adaptable John Bottomley in line to cover.
