Jack facing a ban - Burton Mail

9th November 1987
Gresley Rovers could be set to lose influential midfielder Joe Jackson for three matches.

Jackson was booked for the third time this season in the Moatmen’s magnificent 3-0 FA Vase victory over Mile Oak Rovers on Saturday.

That could put in line for a suspension which may be for three weeks. But Jackson’s booking was the only black spot in a superb Rovers performance which saw them into the last 64 of the competition.

Manager Frank Northwood said: “That’s how I want us to play every week – it was a brilliant performance.”
