Fog hits Rovers cup tie - Burton Mail

30th November 1987
Gresley Rovers’ intriguing Banks’s League Cup quarter final with Oldbury United was a victim of Saturday’s thick fog and overnight frost.

The match was postponed making it a second successive blank Saturday for the Moatmen.

Now Rovers face the sternest test yet of their unbeaten league record at the Moat Ground tomorrow night when they take on in-form Halesowen Harriers.

Harriers smashed six goals past Wolverhampton United on Saturday to follow-up their 4-0 triumph at Oldbury the previous week and moved into fourth place in the Premier Division table.
