Gresley Rovers chief Frank Northwood blasted his stop-start side after they marched into the last 32 of the FA Vase for the second successive season.
Northwood watched his men overcome Suffolk – outfit RSSC Ransomes in Saturday’s third round replay at the Moat Ground but afterwards was far from satisfied with the performance.
“For 20 minutes in the first half we didn’t play at all and that’s just not good enough,” he said. “When people pay money to come and see us play they expect a full 90 minutes – not 20 minutes play then 20 minutes rest.”
Keith Hill and Jon Laws with a penalty saw Gresley through to the fourth round where they can expect a bumper Moat Ground crowd for the visit of United Counties League side Northampton Spencer.
Spencer overcame Spartan Leaguers Southgate Athletic in their third round replay on Saturday.
