Hot shot Acklam - Burton Mail

5th November 2000
Paul Acklam played another starring role as Gresley veterans continued their good form in the Umbro national tournament with a 4-1 victory over Kingsway at the Moat Ground on Wednesday night.

Acklam, a member of the team which played in the 1991 FA Vase final at Wembley, hit a first half hat-trick as Gresley raced into a 4-0 half time lead with midfielder Gary Stevens adding his name to the score sheet.

The Derby side came back into the match in the second half but had to settle for a Rob Measures consolation goal.
