Reserve Team Recent Signings

1st December 2000

AMRIT SIDHU - Amrit has the distinction of being the first Asian player in the UK to sign Pro forms for a club. Amrit signed for Derby County and made loads of appearances for the youth team and two appearances for Derby Reserves. He was released last season and has recently been playing in Bury's Reserve side. Amrit, is a good, tricky forward who is still only 18 and lives in Coventry. We are hoping Amrit gains match fitness by playing in the Reserves here and pushes for First Team contention.

CHRIS ALLUM - Signed from neighbours Stapenhill, Chris is a versatile midfielder / full back who has rejoined the club after a previous spell with the Reserves. Chris has come back to the club to push for first team contention and was Stapenhills Player of the Year last season. Gary Norton has challenged Chris to come and get into the first team reckoning. "Chris is a very fit and aggressive midfielder who is also excellent when dropping in at right fullback. I don't know how he has been playing at Stapenhill this season, but last season when I was their, he was outstanding in a struggling side. In my opinion he should be and has the capability to play at a higher level. I have told him this and he is coming to play a few games in the Reserves and hopefully catch the eye of Brian Kenning with his performances.

DEAN PARKER - Dean is a young midfielder from the Burton area who has recently signed after Bill Bishop put us onto him. We wanted to invite Dean upto training to look at him but due to recent weather problems haven't had the opportunity, so we signed him and will look at him over the next few games. Bill has had good reports about him and hopefully these will be proved right.
