Gresley Rovers boss Frank Northwood last night blasted his team after the Moatmen had crashed to a 3-1 Banks’s League defeat at home to Paget Rangers.

Northwood fumed: “People know me well enough by now – I can accept defeat as long as we’ve given our best. But in all my time at Gresley I’ve never known us to lie down and die as we did last night. There was a complete lack of commitment and at times we allowed Paget to outclass us.”

Northwood immediately ordered his first team squad to report for an unscheduled training session tomorrow night.
