Unique trophy - Burton Mail

8th August 1989
Stapenhill and Gresley Rovers will be vying for a unique football trophy when they meet at Edge Hill tonight (7pm).

A specially-commissioned piece of cut glass will go to the winners of the Bass Vase centenary challenge match.

Rovers welcome back defender Martin Dick and forwards Kieron Smith and Paul Acklam while Stapenhill’s squad includes former Heanor Town and Sutton Town keeper Darren Wright.
