Gresley Rovers hope to maintain a remarkable record when the magic of the FA Cup comes to the Moat Ground tomorrow (3pm).
Rovers take on high-flying Witton Albion in the first qualifying round hoping to extend their sequence of victories over sides from the HFS Loans League.
In the last 2½ years, Rovers have seen off Matlock Town, Buxton (twice) and Gainsborough Trinity in cup competitions and are confident their run of success can continue.
Manager Frank Northwood said: “We didn’t play very well last week, but I’m expecting the players to raise their games and they have done in the past. If the crowd get behind us, we’ve always got a chance in cup football.”
They also hope to attract their biggest crowd of the season as they chase a home tie to Warrington Town or North Ferriby United.
