Craig Hopkins signs

7th August 2002
Gresley Rovers has secured the signature of experienced midfielder Craig Hopkins. Craig, who spent last season with Hednesford Town, has played for Ilkeston, Kettering and Kings Lynn has been with the Moat men during pre season.

Jon Newsome is delighted that Craig has decided to join Gresley and believes that his experience will add value to the team. Jon added, "Craig has worked hard during pre season and I have been impressed with his performances".

Gresley Rovers are expected to complete the signing of forward Gary Smith this evening. Gary, an international with St Kitts & Nevis will join Gresley after spending early pre season with Sutton Coldfield Town.

Gary helped Halesowen Town to win the Dr Martens Western Division last season joining from Tamworth in July 2001. He has previously been with Worcester City ad Paget Rangers.
