Defender Gary Moran has left Gresley Rovers and signed for Rugby United the club he left to join Grimsby Town.

Moran had found travelling from his home near Rugby difficult and when Rugby put in seven days for the right back he chose to move nearer home.

Chairman Mark Evans explained: “While he enjoyed playing for Gresley and was prepared to fight for his place in the first team, Gary was finding the travelling difficult.

“We received seven days from Rugby last week and Jon met him on Thursday and Gary has decided to move back to Rugby.”
