Gresley Rovers have unveiled David Wilson Homes as a new sponsor, after agreeing a 3-year sponsorship arrangement with the Club.

Mark Evans, Gresley Rovers Chairman commented: “This is a fantastic endorsement of the football club in that such a high profile national company has chosen to support the Club and for a sustained period of time. In effect this is the biggest sponsorship deal Gresley has ever obtained and there is an option for it to be extended further.”

“I am particularly impressed by their (David Wilson Homes) genuine interest in the Club and their desire to be involved, they are very similar in that regard to our other main sponsors Mortgage Advice Bureau and Ashley Adams”.

David Wilson Homes began building their very first homes in a small village in Leicestershire almost forty years ago.

Since those early times the company has flourished, and today their homes can be found across the length and breadth of Britain.

Mark Evans commented: “It is known that David Wilson Homes take a little longer and search a little harder to find the best locations so as to ensure that they secure the best addresses.” He went on to add: “ With their new development in Gresley, new owners will not only be able to claim they live in a David Wilson Home, but also that they live in Gresley – the home of a very special football club.”

With regard to the impact this sponsorship has on the clubs financial position, Mark Evans added: “Of course it is immensely helpful and helps us (my fellow directors and I) to keep up the work we started several years ago to address the Clubs financial and commercial affairs – as I am often quoted as saying, the work goes on, we have achieved so much, but this is work in progress.

“We have a unique asset and quality at Gresley Rovers – a partnership – a shared dream – between Players, Management, Directors, Supporters and Sponsors. Together we have made a difference. This is our dream team – the partnership that can together continue the progress made, David Wilson Homes have now joined that partnership and we are very pleased to welcome them.”
