Defender Gary Knight has decided to join Redditch United to cut down on his travelling.

Knight who is based in Bromsgrove had played just two games for Gresley before choosing to move nearer home.

A disappointed Gresley manager Jon Newsome said: "Gary has enjoyed his short time at Gresley, but he's opted to join his local club to reduce the amount of travelling he has to do."

Despite the return of defender Stuart Evans from injury Newsome be looking to bring in another defender to the squad.
