Rovers’ cup D-Day - Burton Mail

8th November 1990
Gresley Rovers’ FA Vase fate will be decided by soccer’s top brass in London tomorrow.

Rovers, beaten 2-1 at Mile Oak in the first round on Saturday, hope to be reinstated because the Tamworth side fielded an ineligible player.

Gresley claim goalkeeper Gary Reeves was not signed until November 1st, thus breaching the seven-day signing rule.

Moat Ground officials have now been invited to make their representations before an FA Commission of Inquiry at Lancaster Gate in the morning. Mile Oak officials have also been told to attend.

Rovers will be away to Beazer Midland club Racing Club Warwick if their appeal proves successful.
