Simon Baldwin has the chance to stake his claim to the Gresley Rovers goalkeeper's jersey when he starts in John McGinlay's first home game as boss against Rugby United.
Baldwin, 16, was a late replacement for Phil McGing in Tuesday night's 1-0 Dr Martens Cup defeat at Stamford after the latter arrived late.
And McGing's Moat Ground future looks in doubt, with McGinlay saying: "I have told McGing to go away and get his head sorted out.
"It is now up to Baldwin, Richard Selby and Ian Wright to battle it out for the jersey and Baldwin is in pole position.
"He is on the merit after his performance on Tuesday and he will not let us down."
Rovers will be without Neil Broadhurst (groin), while Matt Warren is suspended.
Gresley From: Baldwin, Roberts, Reynolds, Bluck, Wardle, Peters, Gardner, Middleton, Cheetham, Coats, Dennis, McGinlay, Tucker, Allsop.
Neil Kitching hopes to have his first game since breaking his leg 11 months ago as the reserves travel away to Hinckley United (2.45).
