Gloucester pre-match news
With both Chris Gray and Mark Peters suspended manager Jon Newsome will have to make several changes for tomorrow’s game at Gloucester City because, as he described “we are down to the bare bones”.
Striker Neil Kitching (thigh) is very doubtful and defender Jim Parkinson is suffering from a back injury.

Defender Ian Bluck, who came on as a substitute against South Normanton in the Derbyshire Senior Cup match, is back in the squad as is Andy Bourne who missed the Monday game due to work commitments.

Midfielder Craig Hopkins will be in line to replace Peters and Newsome has called up some of the youngsters from the reserves.

Carl Tims, Carl Slater and Matt Moran are all named in the squad with Newsome saying: “It’s a chance for the young lads to come in and prove themselves. There’s a chance that one or two could start or play some part in the match and I’ve no worries about putting them in.

“Some have been involved before and are a little frustrated that they have not had greater first team opportunities. But I’ve told them to be patient and their time will come. That looks like being tomorrow and it’s now up to them to go out and prove a point.

“It’s another big game for us, but we’ve got to concentrate on our game not what Gloucester can or can’t do.”
