Gresley Rovers boss Frank Northwood gets into festive mood ready for the club’s seasonal giveaway on Saturday.
Rovers are planning to give away 10 free footballs to young fans as a special Christmas treat during their West Midlands League game against Willenhall at the Moat Ground. Meanwhile, a special “limited edition” Gresley Christmas pud will go on sale at £2.

The puddings, supplied by sponsors Igloo of Ashby, are in a specially made bowl bearing the Gresley club badge produced by Church Gresley ceramics firm Mason Cash.

Club development officer Frank McArdle, who has masterminded the scheme, said: “The pudding bowls are unique to Gresley Rovers and should become collectors’ items. They will be available only to people coming through the turnstiles.

Meanwhile, 10 young Gresley fans will receive free leather footballs, autographed by the first team squad and management, if they can answer a simple question about Gresley Rovers.
