Gresley Rovers can start celebrating their second consecutive West Midlands League title if they win at Rushall tomorrow (3pm), says new boss Steve Dolby.
Victory will give Rovers 66 points – leaving Stourport Swifts the only side capable of overhauling them. But new boss Steve Dolby says: “They’d have to win all their games and I just can’t see it happening.”

However, Dolby anticipates a tough match at Rushall saying: “They’ve had a settled side for several seasons and it’s paid off for them. The faces never seem to change and that consistency has made them one of the better sides in the league.

“Having said that, I’m confident of winning whenever we play and tomorrow will be no exception. When you’re trying to win league titles the pressure is always on but our players have been in this situation before.”

Dolby makes his first team selection as Rovers boss in the ideal position of having a full-strength, 16-man squad.
