Shaun Harrad recalled

Notts County have advised Chairman Mark Evans of the need to recall Shaun Harrad for the immediate future following the exit of Billy Dearden as their Manager.
The arrangement of Shaun's loan will remain open, but until such time as an appointment is made at Notts County it is expected that Shaun will remain at the League Club.

Chairman Mark Evans commented that it was a double edged sword; we are obviously disappointed that Shaun has been recalled and won't be available for selection against Hednesford in the FA Trophy, but nevertheless delighted that he is being given First Team opportunities.

Mark Evans added "Shaun has proven over the relative short time he has been with us to be a first class quality player, both on and off the field. He has enjoyed his time with Gresley and has become quite attached to the Club. I have spoken to Shaun today, who also has mixed emotions about the situation. He has asked me to pass on his best wishes to the players and management and wishes them all the best for Saturday. He also expressed his thanks to the supporters."

"It goes without saying that we wish Shaun all the very best."

Gary Norton commented: "I spoke at length last night to Shaun Harrad and he wishes to pass on his regards to all the supporters at the club for the way in which they made him feel welcome throughout his time at Gresley.

"I'd like to thank Shaun for all his efforts. He scored 12 goals in 16 appearances for us and had a massive part to play in our turn-round to the season. Although we are sad to lose Shaun, we are also delighted that he is in the position to get his chance in the 1st team at Notts County. Although the deal remains open and Shaun could be back with us in the future, we are not leaving anything to chance. The search has started to bring in the 'new Shaun Harrad' and discussions are already underway with a number of clubs to try and bring someone in."
