Simon Van-de-Broucke's reserve team news
Simon Van-de-Broucke

Simon Van-de-Broucke

Well what can I say, it's been weeks since the reserves have had a game, and in that time we've only managed to have a couple of training sessions due to weather conditions and Christmas etc.
But we all got together on Thursday night for a bit of a knock and I can assure you we are all raring to go.

On writing these notes I'm preparing for tomorrow's home clash with Bedworth, a game we must win to keep the pressure on at the top, so all being well if the weather holds out and we get our tactics right, by the time you read this we should hopefully be 3 points better off.

I've been very busy on the transfer front whilst we've had the break, and Saturday's game should have seen debut of three possibly four new players, with a 5th on the way in the near future, all of these players have the sort of quality we are looking for at the club and in the not so distant future Gary could be looking to involve one or two of them if they fore fill the potential that they have promised, this all makes for good competition throughout the club.

Onto the 1st team, I went to watch last week at Hednesford and thought an under strength team put on a commendable performance and although we were under the cosh for most of the game, I thought the good chance that fell our way in the 2nd half could very easily have won us a replay, and back at the Moat well who knows?

It was nice to see Chrissy Gray again and not so nice to see Mr Dean if you know what I mean. One last point the ref what a joke, penalty what penalty? Pushing a player to the deck after running 15 yards a yellow card? Not in my day sunshine! I was seriously waiting for Beadle to jump out with a hidden camera.

Thank you Please
