Youth Team Managers Announced
Gresley Rovers' are pleased to announce that Steve Thorpe and Rory Downes will take charge of the Youth Team that will compete in the Midlands Floodlit Youth League.
The club has acted swiftly after Steve Hinks decided he was unable to fulfil two roles at the club.

Hinks had been hoping to combine his role as First Team Assistant Manager with that of Youth Team Manager but has concluded both roles require more time than he is able to give the Football Club.

Neither Thorpe nor Downes are strangers to the club. Steve Thorpe manages the Under 16's and the Under 8's although he will now give up the latter position and Rory Downes has supported Hinks and First Team Manager Gary Norton as and when required.

The Chairman of Gresley Rovers, Mark Harrison, said: "I'd like to place on record my thanks to Steve Hinks who took this job on with tremendous enthusiasm and has made a big impression very quickly. At the time he took it on we discussed the extra time he was committing and having got involved it looks to be too much for one person.

"It's a good time to make the change as we continue to prepare for the new season and I'd like to wish not just Steve and Rory but the whole youth squad all the best as they develop together."
