The Gresley FC squad for the coming season has been boosted by several more of last season’s team putting pen to paper to remain at the club.
Jamie Barrett, Tom Land, Jordi Gough, Richard Butler, Adam Betteridge and Jack Coulson all re-signed for the club over the weekend at the club’s annual presentation evening.

These latest captures added to the already signed (Gary Hately, Carl Slater, Royce Turville, Micky Lyons, Tom Betteridge, Rob Spencer and Matt Hill) mean that manager Gary Norton has most of the core of last season’s squad already committed to the club for the new campaign.

However, striker David Blenkinsopp and goalkeeper Simon Baldwin will not be at the club for the start of the new campaign.

It remains to be seen where Blenkinsopp ends up but it is unsurprisingly thought he is courting interest from several clubs at steps 3 and 4 level. Baldwin meanwhile has joined Long Eaton United.

Norton also wants to add both Gareth Langford, Rhys Powell and Martin Gadsby to those already signed but both have been away whilst he is also hopeful of Brian Woodall remaining at the club after initial talks with last seasons top scorer.

In addition a small number of trialists have been invited to join the club for preseason training which starts on June 26th.
