Hateley Turns Down Possible Rushall Move
Gary Hateley

Gary Hateley

Goalkeeper Gary Hateley has given the club a boost by turning down a move to Evo-stik South side Rushall Olympic to remain at the Moat Ground until the end of the season.
The Pics manager Neil Kitching made a seven day approach for Hateley last season which was turned down and the former Moat Ground favourite repeated his attempt to lure the popular shot stopper again last week.

However, Hateley turned down the move flat in the hope of helping Gresley in their promotion push.

Manager Gary Norton commented: "Its great news that Gary wishes to remain at the club for at least the remainder of the season. He wants to play at a higher level again sometime and he said he would love to do that with Gresley if he could.

"Gary is an integral part of the dressing room and one of the most professional players I've ever worked with so its great from my point of view that he is staying. He wants to stay with us to do his best to try and help the club get promoted this season if at all possible."
