Hanslow Stays At The Moat Ground
Richard Hanslow

Gresley FC joint manager Gary Norton has tonight confirmed that Richard Hanslow will remain at the club after turning down an approach from Mickleover Sports.
Hanslow had been the target of a seven day approach for his services but today confirmed to Norton that he is to remain at the club.

The news delighted Norton who told the club's website: "Richard has decided to remain with us and fight for his place in the side which we are obviously delighted with. He is without doubt one of the best and most natural finishers we have at the club and is a huge part of the squad.

"Being a local lad I took him for a pint after Saturday's game and told him exactly what we think of him and what areas of his game he needs to work on in our opinion which will hopefully help him get into the starting line up on a more regular basis.
He's taken that on board and is up for the challenge when his chance next comes."

Norton added: "Richard said himself during our chat that if you are part of the core group we have put together at Gresley over the last couple of seasons then it's a very hard place to leave and so it has proved again.

"Richard's staying on the back of Jeppo's (James Jepson) recent decision to turn Kings Lynn down reinforces what a tight squad of lads we have here at Gresley and we are thankful for that"
